To put it simply,

A physical device (like a smartphone or one of our BridgeX devices) in the XYO network that finds bound witness interactions (as mentioned in the Sentinel definition). When the bridge finds an interaction it places a signature on it which confirms the interaction.

A real world example of a bridge is coming soon!

What is a Bridge to a developer?

A node in the XYO network that looks for bound witness interactions. When the Bridge node finds an interaction it signs off on it and sends it to the archivist to continue the proof of origin chain. All of these bound witness interactions are stored on an archivist. Currently you can see the bound witness data stored by an archivist and tied to a specific Bridge public key on our Explore app or our XYO Network app.

A Bridge node operates from a variety of devices, most notably a BridgeX device and/or a smartphone (Android or iOS).
