Later in the year, XYO announced the upcoming release of xyOS, a sovereign platform to operate a desktop node and interact with the XYO ecosystem. The beta launch of xyOS brought enhanced digital sovereignty and usability to the XYO ecosystem. Users could now seamlessly engage with blockchain applications while retaining complete control over their data.
XYO also introduced xNS, a blockchain-based naming service that lets users reserve unique, sovereign digital identities.
Towards the end of the year, XYO Co-Founder and XY Labs CEO Arie Trouw shared some sneak previews of an early 2025 product.
Arie shared, \"I can't go into why we need this custom wallet for the 2025 release of XYO, but a hint is that XYO 2025 will require Staking and supports additional cross chain functionality. It will also open up many new ways for people to participate as nodes in the XYO ecosystem and earn rewards for those nodes!\"
